Stowers’ Machine Demo Day 2016

More than 500 folks turned out for Stowers’ Machine Demo Day April 29 to experience machine demonstrations and get to know Stowers’ people a little bit better. If you weren’t able to make it, here’s a little bit of what happened: 1. A Trimble machine control and guidance technology demo by SITECH allowed Demo Day attendees to operate excavators and dozers equipped with this technology.         2. 3D paving technology helps contractors be more profitable

Paving contractors in and around eastern Tennessee have used 2D paving technology on their mills and pavers for several years. Some of these contractors are now beginning to realize the value of 3D paving technology. 3D technology incorporates robotic total stations to provide millimeter accuracy on projects like virgin roads, airport repaving, and road reconstruction. The investment in this new infrastructure seems to be worth it, though.
